But the “ask” feature is for asking questions, not sending messages. It’s not called a “private message” box. The page after your URL isn’t “/idlechitchat”.
I agree that the ask-restriction should be removed, but not so that you can clutter tumblr with your useless thoughts. I can hear them all, and some of them just don’t need to be said.
When I, Jace Beleren (cool-guy supreme), answer something privately it’s almost always because that one person needs to know what I have to say, and not all of the plane. Sure, a few casual follow-up messages are awesome but escalating it to the point of not-facebook-facebook-chat is incredibly frustrating and taxing on this planes small guild of artificers.
As for Twitter… I am fairly certain it has already been assimilated by this plane. Hence the “sync with twitter feed” options.
Jace Beleren (cool-guy supreme) thinks that a few thousand minds need sculpting. Especially since every time this is re-blogged (yes, I am part of the problem now) it is causing MORE planar clutter. How about you all sacrifice a few posts, discard half of your messages, and just ASK PEOPLE THINGS instead of “telling” them.
